The Jurassic Park franchise has taken some wild turns throughout its nearly 35-year run. From new islands to hybrid dinosaurs, and even a catastrophic volcanic eruption. If nothing else, it’s safe to say that the franchise has never been boring.

After going dormant for over a decade, JP returned with a bang in 2015 thanks to the hit sequel Jurassic World, which reignited interest in the franchise and saw more dino carnage. Since then, it’s received two sequels and four animated series (not to mention another reboot sequel series with Jurassic World Rebirth).

But which Jurassic World movies and shows are the best? Here’s the franchise in order, and ranked based on which is best.

The Best Jurassic World Movies and Shows

Jurassic World

If Jurassic World wasn’t good, it wouldn’t have been able to relaunch the franchise. Luckily, the film was lots of fun and truly brought Jurassic Park into the modern era. Plus, it was great to see the park finally open and the absolute chaos the dino breakout causes ( Jimmy Buffet grabbing his margaritas and running as the pteranodons attacked?) If you want the closest thing to the classic JP experience, Jurassic World is a must-watch.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous

Starting just before the events of Jurassic World and taking place concurrently as the park is overrun with dinosaurs, the Netflix animated series Camp Cretaceous is a surprisingly good time. The series centers around an invite-only camp on Isla Nublar for dino-obsessed kids that’s run by Jurassic World. But when the park falls apart, so does the camp. Camp Cretaceous had a great cast including Jenna Ortega and some awesome guest stars like Bill Nye, Glen Powell, and Jameela Jamil.

Jurassic World Dominion

It’s hard to tell when Jurassic World jumped the shark. It was either the volcano eruption in Fallen Kingdom or the dinosaur-overrun planet in Dominion. But in all fairness…it doesn’t really matter because it’s so totally wild to watch. In Jurassic World Dominion, dinosaurs have now made their way across the globe. Also, there’s giant grasshoppers that are about to destroy the human race, *and* Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill all reprise their roles. The movie is nuttier than a jar of Jiff, but it’s so bonkers you can’t look away. It’s the action movie equivalent of a guilty pleasure.
